Going Red Red! with Loreal Excellence Fashion

Hey hey hey~!

After 1 year of not DIY-ing my own hair colour, I feel so damn rusty. Lol. Anyways, finally get to change my (eww) bleached fringe to awesome spicy red. Well, I dyed 2 colours with Loreal Excellence Fashion - Intensive Spicy Red and Intensive Copper Red .

What's inside? :

Extra materials that I used:

[Methods on how I do it for my hair]

Step 1: Apply the protective serum on dry/damaged hair(mostly at the end of the roots).
Step 2: Mix and stir creme colorant and creme developer in a plastic/ceramic bowl(DO NOT use metal bowl)
Step 3: Wear gloves. (Its a must!)
Step 4: Apply hair dye onto your roots that are more visible first. Then, apply to the rest of your hair, starting from the bottom.
Step 5: Wrapped your hair with plastic cling wrap to trap the heat emitting from your head.(so that the hair dye would evenly spread out)

Step 6: Patience. Wait for 40-45 minutes.
Step 7: Rinse your hair THOROUGHLY so that all excessive hair dye are washed out.
Step 8: Apply conditioner and leave-in for 2 minutes before rinsing your hair again.

FINALLY: Towel dry, blow dry/naturally dry it and its done!

AFTER:

For my fringe:- Front side dyed spicy red(pic on e left) and for the back side dyed copper red(pic on e right)

DO'S:
1.Wear an old shirt or a shirt that you confirm plus chop won't wear outside.
2. Rub Vaseline/Moisturizer around your forehead, back of your ears, around your neck or any other areas that you feel might get stain during the hair dye process. OR
3. Prepare a bowl of water and cotton so that you could rub it off ASAP when your skin got stained.
4. Wrapped a towel(that you don't mind it getting stain) around your neck.

DONT'S:
1. Do not keep leftover hair dye. Dispose it immediately.
2. Do not use your bath towel that you regularly use for towel drying your hair as it might get stained(unless you don't mind getting it stained).
3. Do not wear white clothings until you're sure(120% SURE) that you've completely rinse your hair till there's no excessive hair dye left.
4. Do not wear your precious accessories(earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces) while dyeing your hair unless you've something to protect it.

What do you guys think? Red enough? ^^ Haha.
Rate: 8.5/10
Would I recommend: YES! If your hair color is dark, don't fret. It will give off the 'red shine'. It won't be bright bright red, but under sunlight, it totally shows that its red. ^-^

THANK YOU(^O^)/

Revlon ColorSilk Luminista Red 150 Review

Hey guys~!

This time,  its all about Revlon Colorsilk Luminista Red 150.  Well, its not going to be done on my hair but on my fellow junior. She wanted this hair color and decided to go with Revlon because it was cheap(Watsons having sale @ $9.90 NOW). Since she asked for my help, might as well do a review on it. hehe

What's inside? :

The additional tools that I needed:

  • Newspaper - to cover up  the floor and (in her case) instead of using towel, she used the newspaper to cover up her shirt.
  • Scissor - to cut the tip of the applicator
  • Plastic Shower Cap - to wrap hair after applying the dye
  • Hair clips - to section hair so it'll be easier to apply the dye thoroughly

My junior~ (LOL-ed at the newspaper around her neck.XD)

BEFORE
**Her hair is a virgin, so I won't expect the color to come out very red.

AFTER[PIC 1]

AFTER[PIC 2]

As you can see in the after pictures, its not that obvious, but it can somehow be seen as red color. Honestly, I didn't expect much of the hair dye . And your hair color won't turn out like what they show in the picture. PLUS, her hair is very dark-close to black. So, this is quite an achievement. The conditioner is not bad at all. It gives a smooth finishing touch to your hair.

Rate for hair dye : 5/10
Rate for conditioner: 8/10

Would I recommend Revlon?
No. I don't really like it because they didn't have any comb thingy to even out on to the hair. Honestly, I would prefer the shampoo-hair-dye type. It would make life so much easier because DIY-ing by yourself is never easy.

For those virgin hairs(never dye before),  if you want to DIY , dye a light brown. After that, if you want to dye red, go ahead. The red would be much more obvious. Or you can simply bleach your hair first, then dye red.

That's all folks! ^~^

{COMPLETE-FULL REVIEW}Say bye bye to frizz up to 30days with Marc Anthony Smoothing Treatment

Hey guys~!

[PART 1]
Spent the whole day on my hair. I've finally gotten Marc Anthony Bye Bye Frizz Keratin Smoothing Treatment yesterday~
So,what is this? : Its a home salon treatment that eliminates frizz, up to 30 days and you can do by yourself at home .
For those people who have really really frizzy & unmanageable hair and those who live in a country with high humidity(like Singapore. Urgh.) , I recommend you guys to try this out.
I've been wanting to try this out , and since I was free today, might as well do it ^^
FYI, I've used their Bye Bye Frizz shampoo and conditioner and it worked for my hair, that's why I didn't hesitate to use this product~ ^-^

What's inside: -Clarifying shampoo
                      -Treatment
                      -Plastic Cap
                      -Instruction manual
What you need: -Hair Dryer
                         -Flat Iron
                         -Clips
                         -Wide tooth comb
                         -Paddle brush
Once you've everything, get started!

Step 1: Wash your hair with the clarifying shampoo. (DO NOT CONDITION)
Step 2: Towel dry hair.
Step 3: Blow dry hair till 80% of the water is gone.

I'm using Babybliss Pro GTIonicII hair dryer. Its really light and it doesn't make so much noise.
Loving it! :3

Step 4: Section your hair and apply the treatment. Use a wide tooth comb to even out the treatment onto your hair.
Step 5: Wrapped up your hair with the plastic cap.
Step 6: Blow dry hair with a paddle brush.
Step 7: Flat iron your hair parts by parts, 5-7 times. (Do not panic if there are steam coming out as it means the treatment is working smoothly.)

Using Solia Ceramic Flat Iron. Loving this too!

AND YOU'RE DONE~!

Honestly, it was very tiring. My arm muscles was aching so badly but its all worth it. My hair turned out very nice. ^~^

Pictures of me after the treatment :

As you can see from the pictures, it turned out better than expected. Since I've just done it today, I'm gonna come back with Part 2 in 1-2 weeks to show you guys whether it was effective .

Link to my video for hands-on:
[NOTICE: For those who can't view it on your phone/tab, please use a computer. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience><]

Q & A:
Q 1. When should I wash my hair after the treatment?
A 1. Wash your hair after two days. (Its best if you use Marc Anthony byebye frizz shampoo and conditioner as it will help to last your treatment longer. )
Q 2. Can I use it on bleached/dyed/rebonded/permed hair?
A 2. Yes , you definitely can because my hair is all of the above(except perm).

**Something about doing it on bleached hair.
I'm not sure about you guys, but for my hair , when I was applying the treatment on my bleached hair, I realised it dried up very fast and it feels like as if I didn't apply the treatment on my hair. So I recommend you guys to apply a lot onto your bleached hair till it feels coated(NOT slimy/sticky).

After the treatment, I realised I still have quite an amount left of the shampoo and treatment. I decided not to throw it away and reuse it after 30 days.
I know I know..the manual said not to reuse, but it doesn't mean I CAN'T reuse it. (I agree, I'm a cheapskate person XD )

Reason being? :
They say it won't be as efficient as the first time when you just open it, but it does not mean it won't work TOTALLY. Anyways, it doesn't hurt to try again because it won't bring harm to your hair since there is no sulfate and naturals are used in the product. That's when I'm gonna do a Part 3 to this post - of reusing the treatment.

Stay tune to my adventure with this treatment and I'll update you guys in 1-2 weeks time~
